Social norms are the set of accepted behaviour which the society expects from each and every individual. Every culture and community has their own norms. It can also be said that norms are the unsaid rules and regulation which are followed by people generation after generation. They are the sort of guidelines which tell us how to behave. All of us behave according to certain norms and we also expect other to behave following the norms. When someone does not follow a norm, that act is not liked by some. As per sociologist there are four types of norms namely laws, taboos, mores and folkways.
